Rules for Applying to Public Service Clarified

On October 15, a meeting was held at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University with the participation of Nursultan Seidaliyev, Head of the Department of the Agency for Public Service Affairs in the Almaty Region, active students, and representatives of the student government.

The main goal of the meeting was to provide young people with detailed information about the procedures for entering public service and the opportunities available in this field.

During the event, Nursultan Akylbekuly explained the process of applying for public service, the procedure for participating in competitions for vacant positions, and the use of online portals www.gov.kz and www.eqyzmet.gov.kz. He noted that graduates who completed their studies under the state order with a GPA of 3.33 or higher are eligible, within one year after graduation, to be appointed to administrative positions in category “B” without competitive selection.

Participants were also informed about salary levels in the public service system, social benefits, and career growth opportunities.

Additionally, it was noted that currently there are over 190 vacant state administrative positions in the Almaty region, a significant portion of which are available to young specialists and university graduates.

The meeting was organized within the framework of the “Adal Azamat” roadmap aimed at strengthening patriotic values among youth, preventing corruption, and enhancing the prestige of public service.

At the end of the event, students received answers to their questions and practical recommendations related to applying and career development within the public service system.
