EFFECTIVE WAYS TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

The Department for Personality Development and the Center for Women’s Leadership and Entrepreneurship held a motivational meeting for students on the topic “Effective Ways to Learn a Foreign Language.”

The purpose of the event was to introduce students to effective methods of mastering foreign languages, increase their cognitive engagement, and support both their academic and personal development.

The honored guest of the meeting was polyglot and entrepreneur Madi Fazyl — founder of the Jetil.kz language school, graduate of the University of Tsukuba (Japan), and recipient of the international JASSO scholarship.

During the meeting, the speaker shared effective and practical techniques for learning foreign languages, spoke about his experience studying abroad, the specifics of growth in an international academic environment, and the key stages of his professional development. For the students, the event served as a powerful motivational boost: they not only learned about modern approaches to language learning but also received professional advice directly from an experienced specialist. Participants asked questions of interest and discovered how to overcome common challenges in the learning process, gaining valuable recommendations and insights.

The event directly aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
– SDG 4: Quality Education, aimed at expanding access to global knowledge through foreign language learning;
– SDG 5: Gender Equality, focused on empowering young women and developing their leadership qualities;
– SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, which supports improving competitiveness in the labor market.

This motivational meeting strengthened students’ interest in learning, contributed to their professional and personal growth, and provided new momentum for effective foreign language acquisition.
