This collection of research projects is based on Sustainable Development Goal 13
— Climate Action. Most of the studies focus on developing renewable energy sources
that can help mitigate the impacts of climate change, particularly by analyzing the
conditions for biofuel production in Kazakhstan and creating efficient catalysts for
converting methane into synthesis gas. These technological solutions serve as important
tools in combating global warming by reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
In addition, the research addresses transboundary water security issues in Central
Asia arising from climate change, as well as institutional challenges and adaptation
mechanisms. These studies provide a scientific basis for strengthening government
strategies and international cooperation aimed at increasing climate resilience and
ensuring environmental sustainability.
